Test Results for Version 2.17
Release 2.17 was stress tested on thousands of programs before
release. These programs are created in-house, contributed by
customers, or downloaded from open source web sites. This
constantly growing list of test programs is the main reason behind our high
accuracy rates.
Of course, not every VB.Net program can be converted to C#
without modification first, due to some unconvertible features, such as late
binding or variables not being declared (with Option Explicit Off).
However, the VBConversions testing rule is, once a program is converted successfully and
added to the testing list, it never leaves. New versions must convert all
test projects successfully before release.
There are currently 3,684 projects
comprising the test base and includes Visual Studio 2003, 2005, and 2008
projects.
The screenshot of the test results for each group are below.
The tests were done using the VB.Net to C# Converter's ability to convert groups
of projects.
Total projects tested: 3,684
VB.Net lines of code converted: 1,866,044
C# lines of code output: 2,252,394
Conversion time: 1.7 hours
